Still struggling with a condition your GP couldn't diagnose?

You've tried the creams. You've been to the GUM clinic. Maybe you've been told "it'll clear up on its own", but it hasn't.

Persistent genital skin conditions like balanitis and lichen sclerosus need a specialist, not another round of the same steroid cream.

Most GPs see these conditions once or twice a year. Dr Hughes sees them every week.

A specialist clinic for male genital skin conditions

Dr Aaron Hughes runs one of the UK's only dedicated clinics for male genital skin disease, bringing the same level of expertise he delivers as an NHS Consultant to his private practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't My GP handle this?

GPs are excellent at many things, but genital skin conditions are a specialist area. Most GPs see these conditions rarely — a specialist dermatologist sees them daily. If your GP's treatment hasn't worked after 4–6 weeks, a specialist opinion can make a real difference.

How much is a consultation?

A new patient consultation is £260. Follow-up appointments are £210. Dr Hughes is also recognised by all major insurers — check with your insurer for authorisation before booking.

Do I need a GP referal?

No. You can book a private consultation directly — no referral letter needed.

Is this condition treatable?

In most cases, yes. Many genital skin conditions are very manageable with the right diagnosis and treatment plan. The key is getting an accurate diagnosis first — which is exactly what a specialist consultation provides.

Where does Dr Hughes see his patients?

Dr Hughes sees private patients at three London locations: Skin Care Network in Barnet, Hadley Wood Hospital in Barnet, and the Royal Free Private Patients Unit in Hampstead. Video consultations are also available.

Will this be discrete?

Absolutely. Dr Hughes sees these conditions every day in his specialist clinic. The consultation is private, professional, and confidential.

READY FOR A SPECIALIST OPINION?

If you've been dealing with a persistent genital skin condition and haven't been able to get answers, a specialist consultation could be the turning point.
